Giving + Stewardship
Overview
Situation: Auburn is home to one of the longest continuously run flight education programs in America. The Aviation Department has seen its ups and downs throughout the years but is currently in one of its largest seasons of growth. Additionally, the program is one of the most diverse in the country, beating industry averages in every demographic. Auburn has a large contingent of women aviators and their success is celebrated each year around the Air Race Classic, an all-women's aviation competition. Unfortunately, funding was not available for the department to enroll teams. My challenge from the department included creating a strategy for a one-day fundraising effort, stewarding donors and creating excitement around the event.

Solution: I focused on the three separate challenges individually. A multiplatform digital strategy was created for the giving day, personal videos were made for large
donors, a tracking webpage was launched for all donors and a media blitz and pep
rally was employed to create buzz for the event.
